Service

The Parktown Star is defined by the act of Service:

Service of the body, Service of the mind, Service of the soul, used in the Service of God for the Service of man.

Community Service

Community Service inspires learners to help people and bring a smile to their faces. It is a great platform to learn valuable life lessons. Through our outreach projects, learners define their values, experience empathy, and become active members of the community.

Computer Monitors

The school has two modern computer centres with access to the internet and printing facilities. The monitors are trained to assist learners with various computer programs designed to extend and enrich learning. Both centres are open at breaks and after school to allow learners a space to research and complete projects.

First Aid

Our First Aiders, including learners and staff, have a variety of qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3. First Aiders are on duty every afternoon and at any event and sports match hosted at the school. Throughout the year they are given opportunities to further their training and refine their skills with weekly practice sessions.

Library Monitors

Our library is stocked with up-to-date fiction and non-fiction books, as well as access to computers. The library is maintained by a dedicated group of learners. It is open at both breaks and after school, providing opportunities for learners to do research or study in a safe and informative environment.

Hospitality and Service Committee

Our Hospitality and Service Committees receive countless compliments from visitors on their professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail.
